Adele Swindoll

Adele Hackell Swindoll age 95 of Cleveland, MS passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the Highland Home Ridgeland, MS.

 

Adele was born July 26, 1927, to George Frederick Hackell and Lois Brown Hackell in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Taft High School and married William "Bill" Oliver Swindoll in 1945. They left Chicago in 1957 for Cleveland, MS where she worked as an office manager for 33 years. She was a member of the Cleveland First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Adele loved to read, travel and serve in the community through the Business Professional & Women Club, and Cleveland Women's Club, she was also a long-time member of the Eastern Star.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lois Hackell husband William Oliver Swindoll and daughter Georgene Lois Swindoll.

 

Adele leaves to cherish her memory daughter Sally Rocconi (Charles) of Madison, MS, her grandchildren; Cyndi Horn of Moss Point, MS, Meredith Rocconi of Chicago, IL, William George Horn (Sheri).

 

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10:00Am until 11:00Am at First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Mississippi. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.

 

A private family graveside service will be in the New Cleveland Cemetery.

 

Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland or charity of donor choice.
