CLEVELAND - Antonia "Alice" Enriquez Smith, age 66, of Cleveland, MS passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at the Bolivar Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Friday May 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 21, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Crocket Kennedy and Brother Larry Weaver will officiate the services.
Alice was born on March 02, 1950 to Nick and Mary (Vargas) Enriquez in Cleveland, MS. She had lived in several other locations before returning home to Pace, MS where she had lived for the past 12 years. Alice had worked for Baxter Laboratories, Pearl Mississippi Schools as a cafeteria worker and the manager of the Amoco Food Mart for several years. Alice loved her church, Pace Pentecostal Church, singing, playing the guitar, playing cards and laughing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends cooking and being together.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Mary Enriquez, sister, Mary Helen Ferri and a granddaughter Amelia Lynne Nelson.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Donald Smith of Pace, MS. Son, Michael Shane McDonald of Cleveland, MS, daughter, Alicia M. Chambers of Paragould, AR, Three step daughters Rachel Denise S. King of New Albany, MS, Anna Faith Smith and Charity Lee Smith both of Southaven, MS, 10 brothers and sisters; Joe Enriquez of Cleveland, Nick Enriquez, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Olivia Lara of Cleveland, MS, Pete Enriquez of Pearl, MS, Josephine Enriquez of Pace, MS, Vicki McKnight of Ackerman, MS, Dora Hobdy of Hattiesburg, MS, Martha Enriquez of Brandon, MS, Cecilia Lucio of Grenada, MS, and Robert Enriquez of Arcola, MS. Ten grandchildren, Haley McDonald, Cody McDonald, Michaela McDonald, Nicholas McDonald, Justin Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, Adrienne Nelson, Brendan Chambers, Trey King and Phoenix King. One great granddaughter, Avery Amelia Nelson. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are David Lara, Darryl Lara, Danny Lara, Pete Enriquez, Jr., Tim Ford, Jeffrey Ford and James Enriquez.
