Bette Noblin, 80, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Bette Noblin was born on March 20, 1944, in Jackson, MS, to Sidney Fred Davis, Sr and Tommye Cauthen Davis. Bette graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1962 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University in 1966. Cleveland became home and she started her career as a Social Worker with the Bolivar County Department of Human Services, where she would work for 38 years before retiring from there as Director. During Bette's time with DHS, she helped many children and families in the community. Bette took great pride in her two daughters both of whom cared for her when she started showing signs of dementia. Bette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed volunteering as an Auxiliary Volunteer at Bolivar Medical Center. She loved her church, both Calvary Baptist Church and Morrison Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, adult choir member, member on various committees, and helped in any and every way she could. Bette was the hands and feet of Christ both at church and in the community. Giving of herself and time unselfishly to check on and help others.
Bette is survived by Michelle Fuquay (Scott) - daughter, of Cleveland, Jennifer Petrie (Brian) - daughter, of Tupelo, Sidney Davis, III - brother, of Hattiesburg, Barbara Simms (David) - sister, of West Palm Beach, FL, Parker Noblin (Courtney Evetts) - grandchild, of Sardis, Caleb Smith (April) - grandchild, of Coldwater, Camden Petrie - grandchild, of Tupelo , Ella Petrie - grandchild, of Tupelo, Chloe-Parker Noblin - great-grandchild of Cleveland.
