Blake Allen Grisham

Blake Allen Grisham, age 37, of Jackson, MS passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, in Jackson. Born on March 31, 1986, in Cleveland, MS to Thomas Lee Carroll and Karen Gilbert, Blake was later adopted by Sanford Ed Grisham.

Blake found great satisfaction in his work as a mechanic, using his skills to repair cars and various other items. The joy he derived from fixing things was only matched by his love for fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his beloved friends and family. He cherished these moments and had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews whom he adored dearly. Blake's larger-than-life personality brought immense happiness to those around him; always ready with a charming smile and a contagious laugh. His passion for making others laugh and helping them through tough times defined him.

Life was truly precious to Blake; however, nothing compared to the deep love he held for his two daughters, Brooklyn Mae Grisham and Caydance Rivers Grisham. They were the lights of his life that shone ever so brightly.

In remembrance of Blake's life are left behind his mother Karen Gilbert of Columbus, MS; step-mother Melissa Gilbert of Columbus, MS; father Sanford Ed Grisham of Cleveland, MS; siblings Rosa Williams Thornton of Brookhaven MS; Cora Leighann Haire-Brandies of Utica MS; and Stephen Mitchell Grisham of Cleveland MS. Also surviving him are grandmother Charlotte Gilbert of Cleveland, MS; step-sister Gracie Flint of Lambert, MS; aunt Tracie Holmes of Pelahatchie, MS; as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.

Blake is preceded in death by his sister April S. Jones and great-grandmother Rena Mae White.

Visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:00 pm Friday November 17, 2023. Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00pm in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.

On this day, as we bid farewell to Blake, let us remember his infectious laughter, his compassionate soul, and his unwavering love for his family. May his spirit find eternal peace knowing that he has left an indelible mark on the lives of all those he touched.
