CLEVELAND- Bobby Lee Ware, Sr, age 75, of Cleveland, MS passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Reverend David Schauer will officiate the services.
Bobby was born December 2, 1946, to Burtis and Gladys White Ware in Ruleville, MS. He grew up in Cleveland and attended Cleveland High School where he was voted Most Athletic and was an outstanding athlete until drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, January 2, 1969. While in the Army, he married the love of his life, Vera Williams, on March 3, 1969, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After returning home from the war he went to work at Baxter Laboratories for 10 years. He then opened his own business, Ware's Wholesale Bait which he ran for over 40 years. Bobby loved to hunt, fish, feed his fish, ride his golf cart and spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burtis and Gladys Ware, and brothers; Paul Ware, Frankie Ware, and Ricky Ware.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years Vera Williams Ware of Cleveland, MS; sons, Robert Dakin (Andrea) Ware of Missouri, and Bobby Lee (Leigh) Ware, Jr. of Byram, MS; daughters, Michelle Utz (Mike) of Greenwood, MS, Melissa Harris (Shawn) of Shaw, MS; son, Tony Hays (Tabitha) of Grenada, MS, sister, Betty Boyd (Wallace) of Cleveland, MS, and brother Johnny Ware of Cleveland, MS; grandchildren; Dakin Ware, Emilee Townsend, Dylan Ware, Hayden Fleming, Brooke Fleming, Dylan Harris, Lindsay Harris, Preston Harris, Colby Hays, Madison Hays and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Ware, David Ware, Craig Waldrup, Freddy Ware, Dylan Ware, and Hayden Fleming.
