CLEVELAND - Charles Louis Blaylock, age 79, of Cleveland, MS passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his home in Cleveland.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Service will follow at 01:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel MS. Burial will be in the New Cleveland Cemetery. Allen Williams will officiate the services.
Charles was born on August 11, 1941, to C B and Ruth (Sims) Blaylock in Cleveland, MS. He attended Cleveland Schools. He worked with Delta Chevrolet in Shelby before marrying Barbara Ray on June 05, 1965, in Cleveland MS. He had also had worked with Goyer Supply Company, and the Plymouth Dealership in Cleveland before establishing his own business, Blaylock Construction Company of which he owned and operated for over 50 years. Charles enjoyed each moment he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the mountains. Charles was a longtime member of the North Cleveland Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents C B and Ruth Blaylock.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ray Blaylock of Cleveland, MS. Son, Alan (Mi Young) Blaylock of Malvern, AR. Son, Scott Blaylock of Cleveland, MS. Grandson, Timothy Blaylock of Little Rock, AR. Granddaughter, Emily Blaylock of Malvern, AR.
Pallbearers are Billy Sims, Travis Sims, Johnny Byrd, Justin Byrd, and Tom McKee.
