Mr. Charles McLean Kendall, Sr., aged 82, of Cleveland, MS, peacefully passed away on January 20, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his beloved family.

Affectionately known as Mack, he was born on September 26, 1942, to Lester Eugene Kendall and Waunda Elaine Sibley Kendall on the Zumbro Plantation in Sunflower County, MS. Mack spent his formative years in the Cleveland area, where he attended local schools. He dedicated many years to running his own heavy equipment company, a testament to his hard work and spirit. Mack enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Elaine Kendall, his wife Lilly Ruth Cox Kendall, his sister Joyce and Dorsey Howell, and his brothers Ray (Carolyn) Kendall and Travis Kendall. He is survived by his son, Charles "Charlie" Kendall, Jr. of Cleveland, MS; Nancy Louise Tremblay (Thom) of Oak Point, TX; his sister Louise Storey of Enid, MS; his brother Keith Kendall (Cedie) of Merigold, MS; and six loving grandchildren: Christopher Thompson, Emily Ann Kendall (Benjamin), Kyle Thompson (Nikki), Mallory Jackson (Andrew), Logan Tremblay (Cait), and Sydney Tremblay. He also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, his special friend Sharon Grimmett and family as well as his caregiver and friend Amy Robinson.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Mack will be laid to rest at Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery. The service will be officiated by his brother, Keith Kendall, and nephew, Reverend Cody Childress.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Hunter Grimmett, Brian Kendall, Jonathan Kendall, and Joe Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers include Jamie Cottle, Johnny Conguista, Allan Howell, Coleman Grimmett, Quinton Steen, RD Robinson Jimmy Baldwin, Murry Roark and James Kendall.

Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mack's family during this difficult time. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him.
