David Barry Winters

David Barry Winters, age 53, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on March 3, 2025, at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.

Born on June 23, 1971, in Huntsville, AL, to Dennis and Eva Joyce Alderman Winters, David was raised in a loving military family, experiencing life in various locations including Huntsville, Hawaii, and Greenville, before settling in the Cleveland area. He graduated from Cleveland High School and married Tammy Partridge on October 6, 1990. David dedicated his career to Duo-Fast as a maintenance mechanic, he was also well-regarded for his exceptional skills in automotive refurbishing and painting.

In his spare time, David embraced his passions for adventure and creativity. He loved riding four-wheelers, racing go-carts, kayaking, hunting, cooking, playing his keyboard, and showcasing his wonderful sense of humor as a comedian.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Joyce Winters; his wife, Tammy Winters; his brother, Donnie Winters; and his grandparents, Margie Stephens and Francis Lewis and step-mother Anne Mathews Winters. He is survived by his father, Dennis Winters of Cleveland; his son, T.J. Winters (Mari) of Cleveland; his daughter, Amanda Winters of Cleveland; his sister, Shanna Partain (Tony) of Robertsdale, AL; his brothers, James Winters of Cleveland and Jeremy Winters (Meghan) of Drew, MS; his sister-in-law, Priscilla Jones of Cleveland; and nine cherished grandchildren: Chase, Adelyn, Ansley, Brantley, Aubri, John Weston, Emma, Liddi, and Haven. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will lovingly remember him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Gentry and Brother John "Noodles" Ferguson will officiate the services. David will be laid to rest in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.

Pallbearers will include Shane Grantham, Joe Green, Heath Beck, Tony Hays, Bo Coleman, and Gary Barnett. Honorary Pallbearers are Hairl Lewis, Craig Burchfield, Wess Roberson, Blake Arbuckle, Bryn Bright, T.J. Winters, Jeremy Winters, James Winters and Michael Louko.
