Deborah "Debbie" Ann Dodd Couey, 74, passed away on October 28, 2024, in Henderson, TN.
Debbie was born October 10, 1950 to James Thomas Dodd and Eleanor Payne Whittington Dodd Jennings in Greenville, MS. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended Mississippi Delta Community College. Debbie was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping. She was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ and Levy Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father James Thomas Dodd, step-father Marvin Jennings, and husband Clyde Jerome Couey.
Debbie is survived by her mother Eleanor Jennings of Weatherford, TX, daughters; Shae Murphey (Victor) of Toone, TN and Brandy Lindsey (Brian) of Henderson, TN, son, Steve Couey (Cyndi) of Cleveland, MS, sisters; Dottie Graves of Weatherford, TX and Donna Meadows of Horn Lake, MS, brother, Danny Dodd (Terri) of Little Rock, AR, 5 grandchildren Jacob Murphey, Cheyenne Armstrong (Tyler), Steven Couey (Laura), Clint Couey and Lauren Couey, 5 great -grandchildren, Winnie Kaye Armstrong, Rivers Couey, Autumn Couey, Cason Couey and Clark Couey, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 2 at Beulah Cemetery, Beulah, MS. Tim McCarter will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Victor Murphey, Brian Lindsey, Steve Couey, Jacob Murphey, Steven Couey and Clint Couey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation at www.glioblastomafoundation.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Debbie's family.
