Donald Earl Weeks

Donald "Donnie" Earl Weeks age 66 of Cleveland, MS passed away Friday March 7, 2025 at his home in Paden, MS

Donnie was born January 9, 1959, to Henry Earl Weeks and Tommie Lee Hudspeth (Booker) in Cleveland, MS. He attended Cleveland Schools. Donnie was very active in the public service industry and served on the Philipp Fire Department for many years. Donnie loved everything outdoors and could often be found on the edge of a fishing pond with a line in the water, in the woods hunting for deer (or anything else that moved), and most recently riding around the neighborhood on his side-by-side. Until his health declined, Donnie was an avid motorcyclist and spent days enjoying the open road. On one of his most recent adventures with his life partner, Jorga, he even made it all the way to Sturgis.

Donnie loved his children and grandchildren dearly and though he wasn't a man that always said it, boy did he know how to show it. They will always have his many stories and jokes to remember him by.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Henry Earl Weeks, sisters; Cindy Ray, and Lisa Weeks and his namesake grandson Donald "Michael-Evans" Thomas. He is survived by his mother Tommie Booker of Merigold, MS, partner in crime and sidekick; Jorga Patty of Paden, MS, daughters; Sarah Morris (Will) of Sentatobia, MS, and Jessica Jones of Ruleville, MS, four granddaughters; Samantha, Raleigh, Kaidence, and Everleigh, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 15, 2025 from 10:00 Am until 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home chapel. Brother Rick Geeslin will officiate the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association.
