Donnie Ray Pierce

FLORENCE- Donnie Ray Pierce age 65 of Florence, MS passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, in Myrtle, MS.

Visitation for Donnie will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.  A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Delta Heights Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Cleveland, MS.
Donnie was born March 27, 1955, to Lloyd and Hazel (Black) Pierce in Indianola, MS. He grew up in Moorhead, MS.  Donnie was a produce and fruit salesman for the majority of his life. He loved going to casinos, fishing, and playing dominos with Jerry, Dale, and Randy Black. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed his time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Pierce, a sister, Pamela Kay Swann, grandparents, Jim and Thelma Black, Richard, and Luvenia Pierce.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Black Pierce of Indianola, MS, five sons, Jason Fowler (Kristen) of Hendersonville, NC, Kevin Askews of Durant, MS, Donny Pierce (Amy) of Horn Lake, MS, Waylon Walter of Batesville, MS, and Benny Horne of Cleveland, MS, A daughter Megan Flemings (Joseph) of Florence, MS, 14 grandchildren, and a niece and nephew, Tiffany Lott and Chase Mitchell, and long time friend Marilyn Lyles of, Greenville, MS and her children Lacey Lyles, Jenni Lyles, and Bryan Lyles.  He also leaves his beloved canine pet "Hopper" behind to cherish his memory.

Pallbearers are Joseph Flemings, Benny Horne, Donnie Pierce, Robert Grimmett, Kevin Askew, and Johnny Roberson.
