Enid "Joyce" Parker Isaacks, 77, passed away peacefully at Shelby Nursing and Rehab on March 1st, 2025. She was born on April 4th, 1947, in Cleveland, MS, to Sammie and Beatrice Parker. Joyce dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 49 years, Wesley, and their only son, Chip.
After graduating from Drew High School in 1965, she soon went to work at Baxter Healthcare where she worked until retirement. Joyce married the love of her life, Wesley, in 1969. Joyce gained many friends while working at Baxter, all of whom considered her one of the sweetest ladies.
Joyce’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and was known as a generous giving soul. Her homemade corn casserole was legendary at family get-togethers, and her holiday gatherings were eagerly anticipated by family and friends alike.
Joyce’s love for nurturing others was evident in how she loved and cared for her grandchildren, whom “Bannie” spoiled every chance she could get. She was always ready with candy or a sweet treat to soothe their sweet tooth.
She is proceeded in death by her father, mother, brother and sister, as well as her beloved husband.
She is survived by her son, Chip (Melanie) Isaacks of Batesville, and her four grandchildren Savannah, Wesley, Talen and Rowan.
A celebration gathering for Joyce’s life will be held on March 5th at Cleveland Funeral Home between the hours of noon and 2 P.M.
