Cleveland--Earnestine Bowlin Campbell, age 96, passed away on Tuesday, July 5th at Bolivar Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Steve Holtz will officiate the services.
Earnestine was born on December 25, 1925 to William Hollis Bowlin and Geneva Ikerd Bowlin in Louisiana. She grew up on the Sunflower Plantation. Earnestine attended Drew schools. She married Ernest Campbell on April 23, 1943. Earnestine was a homemaker and co-owner of Western Sporting Goods in Indianola. She lived in Indianola for 36 years. Earnestine loved to cook. She loved being a mother and homemaker. She loved her grandchild to no end. Earnestine was also a pet lover. She was of the Baptist faith.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Campbell; her parents, William Hollis Bowlin and Geneva Ikerd Bowlin; her Son, Harold Campbell, Sr.; her siblings, Christine Fellows, Mary Perkin, Dot Ivy, Mike Bowlin, and Ina Rhea Howard.
Earnestine is survived by Daughter-in-law Kay Campbell of Cleveland, MS; Grandson, Harold (Tina) Campbell, Jr. of Southaven, MS; Sister, Sue Wood of Greenwood, MS; Brother, Leroy Bowlin of Indianola; Brother, Charles Bowlin of Greenwood; Brother, Jimmy Bowlin of Greenwood, MS; Great-Grandson, Hayden Kitchen(Aimee) of Merigold, MS; Great-Grandson, Cameron Kitchen of Doddsville, MS; Great-Granddaughter, Abigail Campbell of Southaven, MS; 4 Great-great Grandchildren, Arin Kelly, Anderson Kitchen, Asher kitchen and Ainsley Kitchen.
Hayden Kitchen, Cameron Kitchen, David Kimbrell, and Shaffie Tobia will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, Leroy Bowlin, Charles Bowlin, Jimmy Bowlin, Glen Bowlin, and Will Wood.
