Ferral Bruce Collier

CLEVELAND - Ferral Bruce Collier, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from Noon until 1:45 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Merigold Cemetery. Rev. Robert Haney will officiate the service.

Bruce was born on December 09, 1946 to Richard Watson and Thelma (Bailey) Collier in Vaiden, MS. He attended Boyle and Cleveland Schools. Bruce worked as a meat market supervisor for Kroger for 18 years. He was also the owner/operator of Joe's Bar in Boyle. Bruce lived in Merigold most of his life. Bruce loved to joke and have a good time with his friends and family. When Bruce was younger, he loved to canoe and loved everything he did. Bruce also enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, reading—especially western novels, playing dominoes and watching football. He was very much a people person. Bruce was good to everyone and would have done anything he could for anyone who needed help.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Thelma Collier and his son Ferral Bruce Collier, Jr.

Bruce is survived by Companion, Wanda Collier of Cleveland, MS.  Daughter, Lisa Braun of Kennesaw, GA.  Sister, Mynell Smittle of Tulsa, OK.  Brother, Richard Collier of Atlanta, GA.  Brother, Ralph(Virginia) Collier of Raymond, MS.  Brother, John(Ruth) Collier of Ellisville, MS.  Sister, Tempest(Richard) Parnell of Saltillo, MS.  Brother, Eddie Collier of Belton, TX.  9 Grandchildren--Katherine Braun, Lauren Braun, Sarah Braun, Taylor McCain, Caroline McCain, Lorien Shaw, Lucas Shaw, Skylar Warren and Ciara Barnett.

Pallbearers will be BG Tatum, Tom Smith, Ernie Seal, Gary Wells and Tommy Garner.
