CLEVELAND - Floyd Williams, age 65, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at his home.
Visitation will be held Friday April 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday April 23, 2016 at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Lehrton Cemetery. Reverend Crocket Kennedy and Brother John Ferguson will officiate the service.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl Wayne Williams and a sister Yvonne Grant.
Floyd was born on October 03, 1950 to Lloyd and Sophia (Barnett) Williams in Ruleville, MS. He attended Drew High School. He married Carol Rush Williams on December 27, 1999. He had previously worked at Douglas & Lomason for 25 years. He then worked for Delta Pride Catfish before retiring with the Bolivar County Road Department. Floyd was an avid gun collector, a member of the Cleveland Moose Lodge and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carol Rush Williams of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Crystal (Johnnie) Harper of Boyle, MS. Son, Gallen (Rhonda) Williams of Boyle, MS. Daughter, Misty (William) Stokes of Cleveland, MS. Son, Jason Williams of Boyle, MS. Step-daughter, Kelly Rush (Keith) Dye of Cleveland, MS. Sister, Margaret (Jackie) Harper of Drew, MS. Aunt, Elizabeth (Adren) Smith of Cleveland, MS. 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Justin Harper, Joshua "Red" Harper, Tyler Stokes, Hunter Dye, Bubba Murphry and Rob Murphry. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Grant, George Wilson, Nick Palacious, David Harper and Michael Bowen.
