CLEVELAND- Ginger Moody Pope age 65 of Cleveland, MS passed away January 11, 2022, at the Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Delta Heights Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend Greg Chamblee will officiate the service.
Ginger was born October 24, 1956, to Jack and Mary Jo McAtee Moody in Drew, MS. She grew up in Drew, attended Drew City Schools and North Sunflower Academy. She married David Pope on March 10, 1976, in Cleveland, MS. Ginger was a kindhearted, generous, fun-loving, Ole Miss Football fan, who was an extreme animal lover that would give the shirt off her back. She loved music, spending time with friends and family. She was an avid collector of Coca-Cola decor and memorabilia. She enjoyed fishing, reading book, playing practical jokes, and all babies.
Ginger was a great friend to all, caregiver, loving wife, and daughter.
She was preceded in death by her father Jack Moody and sister Nancy Jo Springer.
Ginger is survived by her husband of 45 years David Pope of Cleveland, MS, mother, Mary Jo Moody of Cleveland, MS, two brothers, Jackie Moody (JoAnn), and Steve Moody both of Cleveland, MS.
Pallbearers are Wade Springer, Ronald Prewitt, Robert Prewitt, Danny Fly, Jr., Sid McAtee, and Jamie Williamson.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Shriners Children's Hospital.
