Glenda Faye White

CLEVELAND - Glenda Faye Leverett White, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday October 21, 2016 at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Delbert Dean will officiate the service.

Faye was born on March 09, 1947 one of 15 Children to Howard and Annie (Stewart) Leverett, Sr. in Minter City, MS.  She was raised as a share cropper’s daughter whose family moved around a lot for work. She met and moved to Cleveland with her husband and they had 4 children. Faye loved to garden, cross stitch, cook, sing and sew. She loved having fun on Facebook with her sisters. Faye loved her family and friends and was loved by them. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents--Howard Cluff Leverett, Sr and Annie Louise Stewart Leverett, son--Johnny Carroll White, Jr., brother--Thomas Earl Leverett, sister--Mary Eleanor Thomasson,  brother--Howard Cluff Leverett, Jr., brother--Charles Edward Leverett, sister--Lucille Costilow, sister--Elizabeth Anne Leverett, sister Ruby Mae Leverett and her brother Howard Cecil Leverett.

Faye is survived by her Son, Daniel Lee White of Ocean Springs, MS. Daughter, Renann Mechalle Horne of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Melissa Faye Rhodes of Idaho Falls, ID.  Sister, Juanita Southerland of Memphis, TN.  Sister, Minnie Pearl Henry of Memphis, TN.  Sister, Nora Gladys Young of Sardis, MS.  Sister, Virginia Louise Flippo of Sardis, MS.  Brother, John Allen Leverett of Arkabutla, MS.  Sister, Anne Marie Beam of Eldorado, CA. Grandchildren--Johnny Carroll White, III, Jessica Nicole Beck, Heather Marie White, Tiffany Danielle Contreras, Regina Laci Horne, Jared Benjamin Nicholas Horne, Katrina Faylene Horne, Jakob Conner Rhodes, Caleb Austin Rhodes, Aliyah Kinsey Rhodes, Lyndsey Mareyah Rhodes, Brevan Parker Rhodes,  Aidan Cooper Rhodes and 14 Great-Grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
