Gloria Klauder

    Gloria Jean Daves-Klauder, age 73 of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, March 12, 2023 in Baton Rouge Louisiana. 

    Gloria was born April 11, 1949 to Olen (Bud) Safley & Mable Ruth Williams Daves in Cleveland, MS. She grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1967. She graduated in 1974 from Hinds Community College.  In 1986 she married Michael Alexander Klauder in Cleveland, MS. She was a former Justice Court Clerk for Bolivar County. She was a member of the Mississippi Court Clerks Association and a member of the Cleveland Church of God. 

 “Gloria was a loving and selfless person who enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Her church family was as equally important to her and she truly cherished the activities with her Cleveland Church of God community.”

    Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Bud & Ruth Daves; husband, Michael Klauder; sister, Patricia Clark (Lewis) and a grandson, Olen Crawford. 

    Gloria is survived by daughter, Jenifer Williamson-Garcia of Denham Springs, LA; son, Joseph “Joey” Burney of Boyle, MS Stephanie Burney of Rosedale, MS; brother, Dr. David Daves of Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren, Fisher Garcia, Georgia Garcia, Alexus Burney, Daisy Haynes, David Burney, Carter Burney and Emma Garcia; nephew and niece, Jeff Issacks, Kristi Issacks Ables, nieces Lauren Daves Williams, Merideth Daves Mullen, and a cousin, Judy Markman and a host of other nieces, nephews and extended family members.

    Visitation will be held Friday, March 17th from 1:00-2:00pm at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the North Cleveland Cemetery. Rev. Greg Chamblee will officiate the services. 

    Pallbearers will be Joseph Burney, Dr. David Daves, Scott Garcia, Fisher Garcia, Georgia Garcia, Jeff Isaacks and Joey Dycus.
