James Thomas "Tommy " Peacock age 72 of Merigold, MS passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Chris Harris will officiate the services.
Tommy was born July 10, 1950 to John Durwood Peacock and Stella Mae Stafford Peacock in Choctaw County Mississippi. He grew up in the Cleveland area. Tommy owned and operated Peacock's Pump Repair for over 30 years. Tommy enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also loved to play dominoes, go to the casino, watch any kind of sports on TV or that his grandchildren were involved in and spending time riding around with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Durwood and Stella Mae Peacock, wife Wilma Ray Peacock, and son John Edward Peacock.
Tommy is survived by his children, Sharon Youngblood (Paul) of Tupelo, MS, Son James T. Peacock, Jr. of Cleveland, MS, daughter Robin Beevers (Kenny) of Shaw, MS, daughter JoAnn Moody (Jackie) of Ruleville, MS, Lisa Beach (James) of Merigold, MS, siblings; Billy Wayne Peacock (Kathy) of Houston, TX, Diane Campbell (Bill) of Tutwiler, MS, Randy Peacock (Helen), Debbie Loveless (Jimmy) of Cleveland,MS, 17 Grandchildren; Wendy Jacobs (Mick), Renee Hudson, Carl Bowles, Denise Hudson (Chris), Raeanne Dupree, Corrie O'Neal (Nicholas), Jeremey Cantrell, Jeffery Cantrell, Cassie Ray, Emily Kimble (Chris), Jamie Beach, Anthony Youngblood, Brittney Patterson (Matt), Megan Youngblood, Chase Peacock (Angela), Shelbie Ray (Chad), and Tyler Peacock. He also leaves 31 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchild to cherish his memory.
Pallbearers are Chad Ray, Bill Ray, Jason Harris, Chase Peacock, Billy Carl Campbell, Jr., Matthew Peacock.
