Jamie Alise Plummer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Alise Plummer, age 26, of Cleveland, MS, who departed this life on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Jamie was born on March 17, 1998, to James Jeffrey Plummer and Amy Clemons Plummer in Flowood, MS. She spent a portion of her life in Grenada before moving to Cleveland with her mother. Jamie's life was a testament to resilience and love, radiating joy and warmth to all who knew her. A passionate movie fan, she especially loved watching Madagascar II. Jamie enriched the lives of her family and caregivers—Stephanie, Annie, Joyce, Dorothy, Melida, Tim, and many others—who provided her with gentle and loving care.

Preceding Jamie in death were her maternal grandfather James Clemons, her brother James Jeffrey Plummer, Jr., and her brother-in-law Price Whatley. 

She is survived by her mother, Amy Clemons Plummer of Cleveland, MS; her father, James Jeffrey Plummer, Sr. of Grenada, MS; her sisters Hayley Horn Brooks (Matthew) of Fort Worth, TX, and Aubrey Plummer Whatley of Cleveland, MS; her brother Kent Plummer of Columbus, MS; and her sister Lakon Plummer Evans of Coffeeville, MS. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, John and Kay Plummer of Winona, MS, her maternal grandmother Judy Clemons of Benoit, MS, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Jamie's life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.

Jamie Alise Plummer will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
