CLEVELAND- Janie Palacios Cannon age 57 of Cleveland, MS passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Visitation for Janie will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 Pm in the Cleveland Funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens. Reverend Kenneth Harris will officiate the services.
Janie was born March 17, 1964, to Mike and Louise Lindsey Palacios in Cleveland, MS. She attended Cleveland Schools and had worked as a clerk and manager of several area convenience stores. Janie loved spending time with her family and friends especially loved her girl time with her cousin Tina Blessit (Ricky) and all the time she could get with her granddaughter Laynee. Janie loved her family and friends and was a good grandma to Laynee. She enjoyed life as much as she could. Janie loved watching the Cardinals baseball games, playing games on her computer, riding with her son, being outside and everything, and anything that involved her granddaughter Laynee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Louise Palacios, son, Timothy Cannon, brothers Michael, Gary, and Tony Palacios.
Janie is survived by her son Justin Cannon (Daven) of Houston, MS, granddaughter, Laynee Cannon of Houston, MS, nephew Madison Dixon (Lauren) of Starkville, MS several nieces and nephews, and cousins that will all cherish her memory.
Pallbearers are Billy Smith, Jr., Ricky Campbell, Shane Lindsey, Jeff Lindsey, Jeff Winters, and Jonathan Hodges. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Lindsey, Charley Campbell, and Austin Smith.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or Helping Hands.
