Jared Horne

Jared Benjamin Nicholas Horne age 31, also known as Big Daddy,  of Cleveland, MS passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Jared was born March 27, 1991, to Benny Eugene Horne Sr. and Renann Mechalle White Horne in Cleveland, MS. He was in the 2010 graduating class of Cleveland High School, he also attended Mississippi Delta Community College and Delta State University. After college, Jared worked with his uncle Johnny Horne in the small engine repair business, in 2017 he went to work with the City of Cleveland as a groundskeeper.

Jared loved watching Sci-Fi and Avenger Movies, collecting old coins, and Dragon Ball Z cards, and traveling with family and friends. He was a member of Boyle Baptist Church. Jared loved his family and enjoyed every minute of time spent with family and friends. To know Jared, was to love Jared. He will forever be missed by his many family members and friends.

Jared is survived by his mother, Renann Mechalle Horne of Cleveland, MS, father, Ben Horne Sr., of Cleveland, MS, siblings, Bradley Horne (Marla) of New Albany, Ms. Tiffany Contreras of Cleveland, MS, Ben Horne, Jr., of Cleveland, MS, Regina Horne of Cleveland, MS, Katrina Horne of Cleveland, MS, nieces and nephews, Kaitlin Horne, Brady Horne, Isabella Contreras, Alexandria Contreras, Zoey Brooks Contreras, Gracie Horne, Ben Horne III, Eric Horne and Kendall Horne. His best friends, Josh, Nick, Lee, Taco, his work family, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Perry Keys will officiate the service.
