Jerry John Nance

MERIGOLD - Jerry John Nance, age 47, of Merigold, passed away on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lehrton Cemetery. Rev. Ken Harris will officiate the services.

Jerry was born on October 06, 1968 to Bob and Barbara Tribble Nance in Cleveland, MS.  He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1986 and attended Delta State University. While in high school, he played basketball. He married Sandra Thompson on October 09, 2010.   Jerry loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family. He grew up working at Nance's Cleaners--the family owned business. His expertise was in computer technology and communications systems for airports. He worked as a salesman (Automotive Redistribution as Jerry liked to call it) for AutoMark for the past few years. Jerry attended the Boyle Church of God of Prophecy.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bob & Barbara Nance.

He is survived by Spouse, Sandra Thompson Nance of Merigold, MS.  Son, Max Nance of Oxford, MS.  Daughter, Brittany (Lee) Townsend of Cleveland, MS.  Daughter, Adrienne (Brent) Lance of Cleveland, MS.  Son, Jason (Teresa) Jackson of Cleveland, MS.  Sister, Sharon Weeks of Cleveland, MS.  Brother, Robert Nance of Clarksdale, MS.  Brother, Larry Nance of Cleveland, MS.  8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lee Townsend, Brent Lance, Anthony Joseph, Jamie Harmon, Max Nance, Jason Jackson, Mark Hall, Jr. and Emmett Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Shayne Harrison & Cash Nance.
