Jonathan Lee Kitchens

CLEVELAND - Jonathan Lee Kitchens, age 24, of Cleveland, MS passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Choctaw, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 27. 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God in Cleveland.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God. Reverend Anthony Prestage and Reverend Jeremy Vanderburg will officiate the service.

Jonathan was born on November 29, 1993 to David and Terri (Pace) Kitchens in Clarksdale, MS. He grew up in Cleveland, MS and attended Cleveland High School.  Jonathan married Samantha Strickland on April 16, 2012 in Arkansas.  He was a diesel mechanic for several area truck repair businesses. Jonathan was a happy go lucky guy who loved to tease and embarrass his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, bowling, dancing and singing. Jonathan was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Billy Pace.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Samantha Strickland Kitchens of Cleveland, MS; Father and Mother, David and Terri Pace Kitchens of Cleveland, MS; Brother, Michael (Chasity) Kitchens of Cleveland, MS; Grandparents, David and Teresa Kitchens of Greenville, MS; Mary and Jimmy McElroy of Hamilton, MS; Nellie Pace of Cleveland, MS; Geneva and James Kelly of Boyle, MS; Mother-in-Law, Gail Haire of Cleveland, MS. He also leaves several nieces and nephews; Chase Strickland, Cadey Strickland, Peyton Strickland, and Bryson Kitchens.  

Pallbearers are Phillip Strickland, Chris Hull, Jr., Ethen Davis, Kevin Howell, Tyler Howell, Todd Cooper and Alan Mallette. Honorary pallbearers are the Bolivar County Volunteer Fire Department and the members of the Bolivar County EOC.
