PEARL - Kathy Sue Harris, age 63, of Pearl, MS went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy in Boyle. A Celebration of Life Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM at Church of God of Prophecy in Boyle, MS.
Kathy was born on January 17, 1956, to James Cecil and Ruby Sue (Winters) Bratton. She graduated from Charleston High School in 1974. She then moved to Charleston SC, where she met and married her husband Kenneth Harris June 18, 1975, in Harpursville, NY. She was a former University of Mississippi Medical Center office employee and for a number of years an Internal Auditor for Trustmark Bank. Kathy loved to volunteer with the FCA program. She and her husband had served for over 35 years in church pastoral positions. They also served as Camp Kumbaya Directors for many years. They were currently pastoring at the Church of God of Prophecy in Boyle, MS. Kathy loved cooking and baking for others, helping with the Pearl High School Band and Theater Department alongside her granddaughters, she was also a mentor trainer for the Girl Scouts of America, she loved going to garage sales looking for antiques. Kathy loved everyone and never met a stranger and cared for all she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Cecil and Ruby Sue Bratton, two brothers Keith and Larry Bratton.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Harris of Pearl, MS. Daughter, Angela Harris of Gulfport, MS. Four Granddaughters, Trishten (Joey) Trochesset of Biloxi, MS, Laura Carpenter of Gulfport, MS, Haleigh Pinkerton of Gulfport, MS and, Charley West of Gulfport, MS.
Pallbearers will be Joey Trochesset, Jason Harris, Nate Woodard, Danny Dykes, Fred Harris, and Lee Townsend.
