Lee Parham

MERIGOLD - Lee Russell Parham, age 70, of Merigold passed away on Saturday September 17, 2016 at his home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 07:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Merigold Cemetery. John Ferguson will officiate the services.

Lee was born on November 28, 1945 to Lee and Jimmie (Mann) Parham in Greenwood, MS. He grew up in Amory, MS where he graduated from Amory High School. He moved to the delta in the mid 1960's. Lee started as a deck hand on riverboats and worked his way up to fleet captain. He worked with Weathers Towing and White River Towing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved working on cars and being on the Mississippi River. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Mr. Parham was preceded in death by his parents Lee Russell Parham, Sr, and Jimmie Kathryn Mann Parham, as well as his son, David Fortenberry and grandson Kade Givens.

He is survived by his Daughter, Kathryn Lea (Eli) Thompson of Eminence, MO.  Son, Russell Lance (Wendy) Parham of Drew, MS.  Step-daughters, Stacy Ferguson of Merigold, MS.  and Beth (Jamie) Dial of Merigold, MS.  Lifelong Companion, Faye Parham of Merigold, MS.  12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Stephen Ferri, Steve Ray, Michael Phillips, Troy Medders, David Bastari and Jason Bassie. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Dial and Jamie Dial.
