May Lucille Conger Vesely, age 99, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Saturday August 17, 2019. Lucille was born November 29, 1919 in Deeson, Mississippi to Maybelle Hogue Conger and Ben Conger. Lucille was president of the Women's Society and a member of Marvin Williams Sunday School Class at Highlands Methodist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Lucille was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile.
Lucille is survived by her son, David (Lavona) Vesely; grandchildren, Greg (Karlene) Vesely and Michele (Jim) McCarthy; great-grandchildren, Laura (Mark), Jason (Lauren), Brittany (Lonny), and Taylor; great-great-grandchildren, Lucy Mae, Luke, Marcie, Grace, and Essie; sister-in-law, Grace Conger; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, David George Vesely; parents, Ben Conger and Maybelle Hogue Conger; and siblings, Evelyn Flint, Jr., Margaret Conger, Jean May, Thomas Conger, and Ralph Conger.
A visitation for Lucille will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 318 S Court St, Cleveland, Mississippi 38732. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at New Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Mississippi.
Serving as pallbearers are family & friends.
