Louise "Lucy" Ferguson age 87 of Cleveland, MS passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Regional One Health  in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
 
Lucy was born to Forrest Dean Parker and Allie Dee Cook in Vardaman, Mississippi. After graduating from Pittsboro Schools, Lucy went on to attend Hinds Junior College, she received her Bachelors Degree from Misssisippi Women's College; she then went to Delta State University to receive her Masters of Education. She taught for a number of years, making stops at Jones Road Elementary in Grenada, and Tunica Elementary in Tunica. She also taught at Bell Elementary and later Cypress Park Elementary in Cleveland  up until her retirement in 1997. Lucy was an avid member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she worked in the Pre-School Department for over 20 years. She loved her grand kids, and friends. She also loved hosting company, and playing Pokeno with her P-Girls.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest Dean Parker and Allie Dee Parker, her husband Marvis Eron Ferguson, brother Sam Parker, and sister Lela Allen.
 
Lucy is survived by her sons, Joe Ferguson (Cynthia) of Cleveland, Ms, Dr. Doug Ferguson (Chanda) of Pontotoc, Ms. Sister Clarice Spradling. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Mason Fioranelli (Joseph), Parker Ferguson, Lucy Cade Ferguson, Will Ferguson, and Ella B. Ferguson and her great grand children, Powell Fioranelli and Georgia Fioranelli. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.  
 
Visitation will be held Monday April 24, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. till 11:00 AM, at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services  will be held at 3:00 P.M. in the Pittsboro Cemetery in Pittsboro Mississippi.. Reverend Steve Huber will officiate the services.
 
 Pallbearers are Charlie Spradling, Robbie Spratlin, Joseph Fioranelli, Parker Ferguson, Brian Hall, and David Lara.
 
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church P.O. Box 479,  Cleveland, MS. 38732, or any Charity of your choice.
