Marjory Boone

CLEVELAND- Marjory White Boone age 87 of Cleveland, MS passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2021, at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Brother Tim McCarter and Brother Brent Smith will officiate the service. Masks will be worn and live streaming of the service will start at service time here on this website. 

Marjory was born November 29, 1933, in Ruleville, MS to Remey Dell and Alva Sheffield White. She graduated from Linn High School and Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, TN. She married the love of her life Roy Collier Boone on December 21, 1956, in Leland, MS. Marjory was a former Baxter Laboratories employee for 9 years and had worked at the Farmers Home Administration for several years. Although she enjoyed working in the public, her main focus in life though was being a wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed being around people, visiting with her friends, taking care of and mowing her yard. She always had a smile for everyone.

She was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ.
Marjory was preceded in death by her parents Remey and Alva White, and 2 brothers, Gary White and Roy White.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years Roy Collier Boone, of Cleveland, MS, her children, daughter Carol (Johnny) Tucker of Fulton, MS, a son, Mark (Kathie) Boone of Cleveland, MS, daughter Betsy Henderson of Memphis, TN. A son-in-law, Thomas (Margo) Henderson of Memphis, TN, 7 grandchildren, Austin Tucker, Chris (Sam) Potts, Beth (Luke) Chamblee, Keats (Lisa) Baldwin, Ryan (Michael) Fitch, Collier Henderson, and Alan Henderson, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Luke Chamblee, Sam Potts, Johnny Tucker, Austin Tucker, Keats Baldwin, and Burton Potts.
