Mary Neill Goss, age 67 of Ruleville, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the North Sunflower Hospital in Ruleville.
Neill was born October 31, 1955 to Earl Davis "Bobby" Barbour and Mary Laurie Turner Barbour in Cleveland, Mississippi. She grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School. She attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where she began her career in Radiologic Technology. She was employed at Bolivar Medical Center for the first half of her career. After attending the Institute of Ultrasound Diagnostics, she became an ultrasonographer, eventually owning a mobile ultrasound company. Aside from her work, Neill loved to work in her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed riding horses, but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going places with them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Mary Laurie Barbour.
Neill is survived by her husband of 25 years Sam Goss, daughters Beth Harryman (John) of Prosper, Texas and Jessica Leigh Broussard (Jonathan) of Cleveland, son Bo Bowlin (Spring) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, brother David Barbour of Cleveland, sister Jan Waddell of Tupelo, Mississippi, her Aunt Virginia O'Neal of Cleveland 5 grandchildren: John Austin Harryman, Matthew Davis Harryman, Cody Christopher Bowlin, Madden Gage Broussard, and Miley Olivia Broussard. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Neill will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Cleveland Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will follow in the New Cleveland Cemetery.
