CLEVELAND - Mary Elizabeth Mallette, age 92, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at the Bolivar Medical Center.
Visitation will be held Friday 08/15/2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday 08/16/2014 at the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Linn Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Artie Nute and Larry Chouccoli will officiate the service.
Mary Elizabeth was born on March 03, 1922 to William Joseph and Vera (Champion) Boyd in Poplar Creek, MS. She married Delma Ray Mallette on November 22, 1941 in Montgomery County. They made their home in the Linn Community for many years. Elizabeth was a lifelong homemaker who loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the fifth generation great great grandchildren very much. She will be missed greatly by her relatives and many friends. She was a long time member of the Linn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Delma Ray Mallette sister Margaret Fiztgerald and brother Leroy Boyd.
The family wishes to express their great appreciation for the dedication and care given to Elizabeth by her caregivers.
She is survived by Sons, Joe Mallette of Boyle, MS, Clarence (Margaret) Mallette of Cleveland, MS, Kenny Ray (Brenda) Mallette of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Ann Mitchell of Ruleville, MS Three sisters; Ruth Jefcoat of Indianola, MS, Minnie Braswell of Cleveland, MS, Frances Farrish of Germantown, TN, brother; Guss Boyd of Spring, TX and 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are James Glorioso, Michael Stewart, Allen Cummins, Allen Mallette, Joey Mallette, Rob Mallette, Justin Smith and Cade Mallette. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Mallette, Chaz Lopez and Bubba Mallette.
