SENATOBIA - Mary Helen Haynes Pruett, age 88, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Drew Cemetery. Reverend Clarence Edwards will officiate the service.
Mary Helen was born on August 16,1930 to Benny G. and Myrle (Cooper) Haynes in Lambert, Mississippi. She was born 4th of 12 children. She was married to William Pruett for 8 years and remained a widow the rest of her life. Mary Helen worked with General Electric for 30 years in the light bulb plant in Memphis manufacturing light bulbs. She raised her 2 children and 5 grandchildren and taught them in "The Way".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Myrle Haynes, daughter, Wanda Morgan, 3 brothers, Robert Haynes, Joel Haynes, and Benny Haynes, 2 sisters, Marie Bland and Doris Jones.
Mary Helen is survived by Daughter, Debbie Robinson of Senatobia, MS. 3 sisters, Ellen Woods Walker of Drew, MS, Carolyn Jean Swinford of Southaven, MS and Nellie Burchfield of Drew, MS. 3 brothers, Archie Haynes of Sardis, MS, Charles Haynes of Merigold, MS, Johnny "Bo" Haynes of Merigold, MS.
5 Grandchildren, Denise Marshal, Sean Robinson, Stacy Craft, Christina Tapper and Dana Morgan. She also leaves 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Larry Swinford, Tony Burchfield, Robert Steed, Dylan Steed, Dalton Steed and Zach Goodrow.
