Matthew Hamilton,

Matthew Dewayne Hamilton, Jr. age 2, of Cleveland , passed away on Sunday May 20, 2012 at the LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis , TN. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 23, 2012 from  10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Boyle.  Funeral services will follow at11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church in Boyle.  Burial will be at the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Rev. Raymond Hamilton and Rev. Clarence Edwards will officiate the service.  Matthew was born on July 31, 2009 to Matthew and Whitney (Simpson) Hamilton in Clarksdale .  Matthew was diagnosed at the age of four months with Menkes Disease; he was not expected to live very long but was a fighter and extended his time here on earth so that he may draw closer to his family during his illness. Matthew was able to experience many joys in his life such as fishing, going to the park, visiting the zoo and the Pink Palace . He especially enjoyed his time with his nurse Lee Ethel Evans. Matthew had a contagious personality for his young age and he will be missed by his many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Derrell Hamilton, Great grandparents Otis Pyron, Joyce and Rollie Goff, Maurice and Margaret Blalock and Bobby & Bonnie Simpson.  He is survived by his mother and father, Matthew and WhitneySimpson Hamilton of Cleveland , .  Sister, Leah Hamilton of Cleveland , MS .  Brother, Brandon Hamilton of Cleveland, MS. Paternal Grandparents, Brenda & Robert Goff of Bartersville , OK . Paternal Great Grandparents, Kay Pyron of Cleveland , MS , Jerry and Carolyn Coleman of Belmont , MS, and  Martha & Raymond Hamilton of Cleveland , MS .  Maternal Grandparents, Marsha Simpson of Cleveland , MS. and, Bo and Lori Simpson of McKenzie , TN.  Host a aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pall-bearers are Tony Goff, Tripp Maddox, Dustin Hamilton and Kevin Hamilton.
