BOYLE- Matthew Colin Rodgers age 31 of Boyle, MS passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at his home in Boyle.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Cleveland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery Reverend David Horton will officiate the services.
Colin was born December 28, 1990, to Howard Rodgers, Jr. and Tammy Murphy Rodgers in Cleveland MS. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 2010. Colin played baseball, loved to fish, playing his Gameboy, Legos, and animals of all kinds. He was a giving person who always thought of others. Even through all his medical struggles Colin always greeted and treated everyone with respect and never met a stranger. When Colin was in the 3rd grade he wrote an essay on "Being Kind to People". He won the essay and was awarded a day with the Mayor of Tupelo. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Delores Rodgers, and maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Murphy.
Colin is survived by his mom and dad, Tammy M Rodgers (Johnny) of Boyle, Father, Howard Rodgers of Saltillo, MS, brother Sam Rodgers of Shannon, MS, sister, Molly Rodgers of Saltillo, MS, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers are Rob Murphy, Bubba Murphy, Kyle Hallford, Dirk Riethe, Robert Williams, and Galen Williams.
Memorials may be made to Le Bonheur Hospital or Timber Ridge Neuro Ranch in Benton, AR.
