Boyle--Melinda Bowen of Boyle, MS, age 52, passed away May 23, 2022, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26th from Noon until 2:00 at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the North Cleveland Cemetery. John Ferguson will officiate the services.
Melinda was born in Cleveland, MS to John Bowen, Jr. and Linda Gilbert Bowen on May 29, 1969. She attended Cleveland Schools. Melinda worked for Ruleville Manufacturing and was a babysitter and a housekeeper. She retired from Western Rivers Towing as a cook. She loved stock car racing, refinishing old furniture, and music, riding in her truck, painting and taking care of, and loving on her grandchildren. She loved to clown around and was always the life of the party.
Melinda was preceded in death by her grandparents; John & Evie Bowen & A.B. Edna Gilbert.
Melinda is survived by her parents, John Bowen, Jr & Linda Gilbert Bowen of Boyle, MS; Daughter, Bethany Bowen of Skene, MS; Daughter, Samantha Bowen of Boyle, MS; Daughter, Lauren Moody of Boyle, MS; Sister, Lisa Bowen of Byhalia, MS; Sister Sheila Laddner of Cleveland, MS; Brother, John Michael Bowen (Sheila) of Boyle, MS; Cousin, Brenda Faye Dial of Cleveland, MS; 10 grandchildren, Jaxton Cannady, Jace Cannady, Jayda Cannady, Jaycee McCain, Travis Lee Neal, Travarious Townsend, Zora Townsend, Zaryah Townsend, Cayden Salley, Haylee Kate Moody, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Murphy, Jason Bowen, Terry Bowen, Cody Bowen, Joey Burney, and Jeremy Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Wes Roberson and Eddie Miller.
