CLEVELAND - Nancy Mae Gilbert Robinson, age 68, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday December 14, 2015 at the Cleveland Heath & Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 15, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Steve McMillon will officiate the services.
Nancy was born on December 29, 1946 to A.B. "Bud" and Edna (Dunn) Gilbert in Shaw, MS. She was a homemaker raising her 3 children. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She was one of 10 kids that her parents raised. She loved playing bingo and being near her grandchildren. Nancy's family says you never had to wonder what she was thinking; she was always willing to share her thoughts with you! Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She was of the Baptist faith. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Edna Dunn, brothers Albert Lee Gilbert, Roy Gilbert and a sister Jeanette Dakin.
Nancy is survived by Sons Tommy Wayne (Cindy) Robinson of Cleveland, MS and Randy (Wanda) Robinson of Boyle, MS. Daughter Brenda Robinson (Robert Wayne Grimmett) of Cleveland, MS. Brother, Jimmy Lewis Gilbert of Pace, MS, Five sisters; Linda Joyce Bowen of Boyle, MS, Mary Lee McElroy of Hamilton, MS, Peggy Showers of Boyle, MS, Brenda Johnson of Cleveland, MS, and Becky Roberson of Cleveland, MS. 3 Grandchildren; Ben Horn, Megan Robinson and Cody Robinson.4 Great grandchildren; Ben, Gracie and Eric Horn, Callie Brook Lamb and Payden Cash Powell. She also leaves a special friend Jimmy Thomas of Choctaw,MS and host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jr. Miller, Tommy Dial, Cody Robinson, Michael Bowen, Johnny Roberson and John Bowen. Honorary pallbearers are William "Pete" Gilbert, Patrick Gilbert and J C Gilbert.
