Nancy Carol Weeks Tarver, age 56, of Boyle, passed away on Saturday April 23, 2011 at her home. She was born on October 25, 1954 to W. A. and Alice (McClure) Weeks in Cleveland. Nancy graduated from Bayou Academy and received her LPN license from Mississippi Delta School of Nursing through the Bolivar County Hospital, where she worked for a short time. She then became the first female mail carrier for the Cleveland Post Office. She was employed with the US Postal Service from 1978 until 1994 at which time she held the position of senior clerk. She married Mike Tarver on January 19, 1974 at Interstate Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held from Monday April 25, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Interstate Baptist Church in Shaw. Interment will be at the North Cleveland Cemetery. Reverend Robert Haney and Reverend Artie Nute will officiate the services. She is survived by Husband of 37 years Mike Tarver of Boyle, MS. Mother; Alice McClure Weeks of Shaw, MS. Two daughters; Teri Tarver and husband Jackie Mims of Mountain Home, AR. and Traci Michelle Tarver of Boyle, MS. Two Sisters; Betty Lou and husband Rickie Stanford of Boyle, MS. and Wanda and husband John Chouccoli of Shaw, MS and Two grandchildren; Bryce Mims and John Michael Mims of Mountain Home, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
