Patricia Sherron Alford

Patricia Sherron Alford age 72  of Cleveland, MS passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at her home in Cleveland.

Pat was born on April 19, 1950, to Marcus and Billie Jean Tubbs Sherron in Cleveland, MS. Pat was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1968. She married James "Jimmy" Alford in 1972. Pat worked as a switchboard operator for Bell South and was a dental assistant for many years with Smith and Abide Dentistries. Pat also worked with H & R Block for 20 years. Pat loved her grandchildren and always attended their events whenever possible. She loved tending to her lawn and flower gardens. Her other hobbies included cross-stitching, anything to do with Christmas time, and going to the beach. She loved her church and the church family, she was always making herself available to do whatever was needed to be done for the church and her church family. Pat was a lifelong member of Morrison Chapel Baptist Church. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend to many. Her presence will be missed here on earth but heaven has gained a dancing queen.

She was preceded in death by her father Marcus Sherron and her husband Jimmy Alford.

Patricia is survived by her mother, Billie Jean Allegrezza of Cleveland, MS, daughter, Jeanna A. Nichols (Tom) of Hernando, MS, 3 sons; Jake A. Alford (Nikki) of St Simons, GA, James F. Alford (Jodie) of Niceville, FL, Brian C. Alford (Gracie) of Biloxi, MS, sister Carla Gardella (Gary) of Cincinnati OH, brothers; Marcus W. Sherron (Kay) of Cleveland, MS and Scott Sherron of Warner Robins GA, 11 grandchildren; James Christopher Alford, Lindsey Alford Wisniewski, Ryan Alford, Brayden Alford, Julianna Alford, Mckailynn Alford, Myleigh Alford, Grey Nichols, Asher Nichols, Grant Alford, and Chapman Alford, two great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Sawyer and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 am at Morrison Chapel Baptist Church. The celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am in the church sanctuary. Reverends; Fish Robinson, John Thomas, and David Horton will officiate the service.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Beach, Charles Turner, Randy Morgan, and the Morrison Chapel Men's Sunday School Class.
