It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia "Patty" Ellen Coughlin Henderson , aged 73, of Merigold, MS. Patricia peacefully departed this world on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Azalea Commons Assisted Living Center in Cleveland, MS.
Patty was born on May 8, 1950, to John Coughlin and Dolores Westridge Coughlin at the Mitchell Airforce Base in Hempstead, New York. She grew up and graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield California. On July 5, 1975, she married the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Henderson, in Carmel, California.
Patty dedicated 25 years of her life working as a bookkeeper for the State of California. Afterward, she and her husband ventured to New Jersey for a period before settling in Mississippi in 1995. There, she continued her career in bookkeeping and CPA services before partially retiring and becoming self-employed. Patty had many talents and enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She also made meaningful contributions to her community by serving with the George County Election Commission for numerous years. Patty's legacy was her faith which was deeply important to her. She and her husband, Jimmy, were an active member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Lucedale, MS.
Those who knew Patty were touched by her warmth and kindness. She had an unwavering devotion to her family and friends from across the country and will be dearly missed. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, John Coughlin and Dolores Beaton, her sister Kathy, and her brother Michael.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James Henderson of Merigold, MS; daughters Allison Koehler (Keith) of Brick, NJ, Aimee Kitching (Hayden) of Merigold, MS, Jourdan Henderson (Adam Payne) of Mobile, AL; son Michael Henderson (Kim) of Atlanta, GA; brother John Coughlin (Karla) of Westminster, CA; and her cherished grandchildren Arin Kelly, Madison Koehler, Kyle Koehler, Anderson Kitching, Asher Kitching, Ansley Kitching and Trevor Henderson. Patty also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will carry on her memory with great affection.

A private family memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM Friday July 14th at the Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church honor Patty's life and legacy.
