Peggy Diane Williams Peeples

Our Lord and Savior mercifully called our beloved Peggy Diane Williams Peeples home on September 29, 2024. She passed peacefully in her home knowing she was going to a much better place after a long battle with metastatic inflammatory breast cancer. 

Diane was born to Emmett and Mary Ray Williams on November 2, 1947. She grew up working in the local movie theaters with her mother. She owned The Hair Barn and The Boutique for over twenty years where many clients became lifelong friends. After closing her business, she went to work in marketing for the senior care unit at North Sunflower County Hospital. She retired in 2009.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roy Williams (Betty), sisters, Eloise Doyle (Charles) and Gloria Flanagan (Earl), and her precious son, Marty Suttle.

She leaves behind her husband Jack Peeples of Cleveland, MS; daughters, Kimberly Rogers of Austin, TX and Shana Blakely of Lake Cormorant, MS; son David Wade “Bo” Peyton of Dallas, TX; a grandson, Preston Shope of Austin, TX; a granddaughter, Kimber Taylor of Greenville, MS; and the joy of her life, her great grandbabies, Blakeleigh Estridge and Ryder Estridge of Lake Cormorant, MS and her much-loved cat, Cheeto; stepsons all of Boyle, MS, Art Peeples (Cindy), Jeff Peeples (Beth), and Russell Peeples (Donna), all their children and grandchildren; many adored nieces and nephews. 

The Lord richly blessed Diane with a host of treasured friends and a church family who were faithful support until her last breath. 

Pallbearers will be Russell Peeples, Park Taylor, Shelby Knight, Aiden Sprague, Sandling McCarty, and Kenny Williams. The honorary pallbearer will be John Wallace Servadio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Diane to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to The Well in Cleveland, MS.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Cleveland Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at Noon in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, Mississippi.
