R G "Bully" Leopard, Jr.

R.G. Leopard, Jr., affectionately known as "Bully," age 56, of Boyle, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Born on August 5, 1968, in Shaw, Mississippi, Bully was the son of R.G. and Louise Vanderford Leopard. He grew up in the Shaw area and was a proud graduate of Shaw High School. On March 29, 2003, he married the love of his life Crystal Hart, creating a loving partnership that lasted for over two decades. Roy Collins Construction and Wheeler Farms formerly employed Bully before his health deteriorated and he was forced to retire.

Bully had a vibrant personality, always known for his sense of humor and playful nature. He enjoyed making others laugh and was never shy to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. His passions included fishing and working on cars and lawnmowers. Despite the challenges he faced with his health, Bully remained a caring and devoted family man who will be profoundly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was a faithful member of the Baptist faith and attended Skene Baptist Church.

Bully is preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Louise Leopard; his daughter, Shirley Leopard; and his sister, Polly Hart. He is survived by his devoted wife, Crystal H. Leopard; his son, Jimmy Leopard of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; daughter, Gracie Leopard of Gene Autry, Oklahoma; and son, Robert Leopard of Boyle, Mississippi. He is also survived by his sisters: Ella Gilbert (Albert) of Eupora, Mississippi; Mary Garcia (Jesus) of Doddsville, Mississippi; and Pamela Lopez (Mario) of Memphis, Tennessee, along with his best friend, James Nolden, and eleven cherished nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy in Boyle, Mississippi, followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM, officiated by Brother Michael Harris, II.

Pallbearers will include Mario Lopez, Jimmy Leopard, Gracie Leopard, Joe Garcia, Brad Hart, and Bobby Joe Tedder.

Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Bully's family during this difficult time. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
