GRENADA - Ralph Wayne "Chunky" Pearson, age 57, of Grenada, died on Saturday February 04, 2012 at the McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, TN. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday February 7, 2012 at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Delta Heights Memorial Gardens. Reverend James Wilkerson will officiate the services. Ralph was born on February 04, 1955 to C A and Ruby Marie (Caygle) Pearson in Jackson, MS. He grew up in Cleveland and attended Cleveland Schools. He later moved to the Duck Hill/Grenada area. He was a former service manager for Grenada Nissan and had owned and operated the Chevron Station in Grenada before starting the C & F Express which he had owned for the past 30 years. Chunky was an avid outdoorsman loving fishing and hunting, he loved to cook and was a very good auto-mechanic. Ralph was a carefree, fun loving person who loved and cherished his family. He was preceded in death by his father CA Pearson, and brother Garland Ray "Tiny" Pearson. He is survived by Mother, Ruby Marie Caygle Pearson of Ruleville, MS. Son, Charles Andrew and wife Davina Pearson of Cleveland, MS. Daughter, Pamela and husband Jeff Highland of Plano, TX. Step-son, Brian "BJ" Scheafer of Pelahatchie, MS. Four sisters, Tammie Louise Porter of Hueytown, AL, Elizabeth Anne Laddie of Dadeville, AL, Beverly Ann (Poochie) Kovarcik of Ruleville, MS, Janice Roark of Yazoo City, MS. Brother, C A Pearson, III of Atoka, TN. Four granddaughters, Elizabeth Madison Pearson, Emily Michelle Pearson both of Charleston, MS, AuBree Dawn Pearson and Jolie Kaye Highland both of Plano, TX. Pallbearers are Jimbo Kendall, Joey Walker, Robert Montana, Ricky Carvan, Michael Gettys, Duke Pearson, C A Pearson, III and Will Hill. Honorary Pall-bearers are Michael Rosser, Matthew Porter, Mark Lane, Joey Kovarcik, J J Scheafer and Jimmy Hill. Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
