Rosa Jenkins Stembridge

November 16, 1918 — March 27, 2014

SHELBY - Rosa Belle Jenkins Stembridge, age 95, of Shelby, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 27, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
Visitation will be held Saturday 3/29/2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Jenkins Cemetery in Sumner, Mississippi. Reverend Ed Hall will officiate the service.

Rosa was born on November 16, 1918 to Howard R. and Lizzie (Bell) Jenkins in Sumner, MS. She was a former Shelby Die Casting Employee retiring in 1984. She was an avid reader and a living historian for the Jenkins family history. She was a well self educated hard working dedicated mother who provided for her three children and required them to study and educate themselves. Rosa was a loving mother and grandmother; always ready to spend time with her grandkids. She was a member of Pace Pentecostal Church. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie "Straw" Stembridge, children Willam Tony Wilson and Betty Stembridge Hamilton, and 19 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by Daughter, Peggy (Joseph) Mengarelli of Shelby, MS. Grandson, Billy 'Buster" (Crysta) Wilson of Duncan, OK. Grandson, Len (Kandy) Hamilton of Cleveland, MS. Granddaughter, Melanie (Chip) Hamilton Isaacks of Batesville, MS. Granddaughter, Lisa Mengarelli Harrington of Rathdrum, ID. Granddaughter, Lynette (Michael) Mengarelli Miller of Cleveland, MS. 19 Great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give special thanks to her caregivers Mary Watkins, Lee Ethel Evans and the Angel of Mercy Hospice.

Pallbearers are Len Hamilton, Billy "Buster" Wilson, Chip Isaacks, Jerry Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins and Jonathan Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Mengarelli, Trevor Hamilton, Wesley Isaacks, IV., Talen Isaacks, Rowan Isaacks, Robert Malatesta, Ellis Jenkins and Sam Diamond
