Sally Catherine Fly Turner, age 96, of Madison, MS formerly of Drew, died on Thursday January 21, 2010 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held from Saturday January 23, 2010 from 5 ~ 8PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Services will be held at Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday January 24, 2010 at 2:00PM. The Rev. Chubby Winters will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Drew Cemetery Mrs. Turner was born on October 27, 1913 to Marion Alphonso "Fon" and Minnie (Chancellor) Fly in Yalobusha County, MS. She married Ernest C.. Turner on January 23, 1937 in Webb, MS. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Drew, MS. One of her passion in life was quilt making. Her family says she was a loving wife , mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband Ernest C. Turner, daughter, Virginia Nichols, and two sons, C.L. Turner and Carl Turner. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Elizabeth and husband John Ostermiller of Salt Lake City, UT and Sharon Marie T. and husband Leon Taylor of Brandon, MS. Four sons, Curtis Dale and wife Elaine Turner of Montgomery, AL, Clovis Gerald and wife Bonnie Turner of Greenville, MS. Charles Edward and wife Gail Turner of Brandon, MS, Clinton Wallace Turner of Terry, MS and a Sister, Della Rose Stebens of Quinton, TX. 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry Fly, Larry Calder, Jimmy Dale Fly, Steve Timmes, Delbert Timmes, Benny Fly. Honorary pallbearers Marion Whatley, Ewell (Bubba) Powell, Doug Proctor. Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
