Sandra Jean Hutchinson McDaniel, age 80, of Cleveland, Mississippi, passed away on March 28, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi.
Jean was born on September 17, 1944, to Roman H. Hutchinson and Mary Jane Burns Hutchinson in Merigold, Mississippi. She grew up in Merigold and graduated from Cleveland High School. Jean married Robert McDaniel on December 5, 1968, and they shared 56 loving years. She dedicated 37 years of her career to Baxter Laboratories.
Jean had a passion for travel, particularly to the mountains, and cherished trips with her church family. She found joy in shopping for groceries and loved spending time in the garden with Angie and Henry. Her greatest gift to those around her was her nurturing spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. A long-time member of the Cleveland Church of God, she touched many lives with her kindness and compassion.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Mary Jane Hutchinson; her son, DeWayne Clevenger; her brothers, C.L. Hutchinson, Roman "Boots" Hutchinson, and Leon Hutchinson; and her sisters, Myrtle Lee Marble and Flora Mae Barrentine.
