Sharon Louise North, age 80, of Ruleville, Mississippi, gracefully departed from this world on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She passed away at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Ruleville United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Lehrton Cemetery. Reverend Glen Seefeld will officiate the services.
 
Pallbearers will be; Joshua Butler, Jared Butler, Chris Butler, Cory Butler, Anthony Glass, and Brad Anderson.

Sharon was born on October 24, 1943, to the loving embrace of Phillip Lane and Hilda Hansen Lane in the town of Winterset, Iowa. She received her education at Van Meter Community High School and embarked on a vibrant career as a secretary, meat buyer, and butcher. Sharon found joy in driving tractors on the farm where she expertly managed the books for several different farms. Her determination also led her to deliver fertilizer for Commodity Marketing Company and serve as a dedicated secretary to the Wardens at the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Beyond her tireless work ethic, Sharon possessed various hobbies that brought immense happiness to her life. One notable passion was her talent for quilting combined with participating in 5K walk/runs. Sharon's warm laughter and genuine affection infected everyone around her as she consistently sought to create memories filled with light-hearted joy. Sports held a special place in her heart, with the Lady Volunteers claiming top honors as Sharon's favorite team. Furthermore, she found solace and inspiration within the Ruleville United Methodist Church community.

Sharon is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Phillip and Hilda Lane; her cherished brother Roger Lane; and her dear sister Linda Arrowsmith.

She leaves behind a legacy of love etched deeply in the hearts of those who survive her: her devoted husband of countless years, Leland Dale North of Ruleville, Mississippi; her loving daughters Carol Lupus (Lloyd) of Story City, Iowa; Karen North of Jewell, Iowa; Christy Butler of Horn Lake, Mississippi; her adoring sons David Butler (Bobbie Sue) of Cleveland, Mississippi; and Danny Butler (Andrea) of Bellchase, Louisiana. Sharon is also survived by her brother-in-law Jim Arrowsmith of Waukee, Iowa. Additionally, she leaves behind a cherished lineage of 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

To honor Sharon's memory as they lay her to rest, Joshua Butler, Jared Butler, Chris Butler, Cory Butler, Anthony Glass, and Brad Anderson will serve as pallbearers.

The funeral arrangements have been thoughtfully entrusted to the caring professionals at Cleveland Funeral Home. May Sharon's spirit find eternal peace as her legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
