Susan LaNelle Barnes

Ms. Susan LaNelle Barnes age 58 of Cleveland, MS passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, In Cleveland, MS.

Susan was born June 3, 1966, to William L. Crocker and Betty Jo Murphree in Drew, MS. She grew up in the Parchman, MS, area and attended Drew and Shelby Schools. Susan was a loving person who adored her family. She worked at several locations during her life, such as Tyson Foods, Ruleville Manufacturing, Exxon, and Speedy Cash, and for the past five years, she was a machine operator for Needle Specialty. Susan loved working on puzzles, tending to her housework, watching her grandchildren play ball, cooking, reading, and loving on and tending to her 1005 Children. Susan's greatest love was for her children, grandchildren, and special long-time friend Drefuis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Jo Crocker, and brother-in-law Walter "Peck" Warfield. Susan is survived by her daughters, Kim Morlen (Ricky) of Harrison, AR., Lindsay Johnson of Cleveland, MS., Dhasia Rippie of Cleveland, MS, stepsons, Jacobie Randle, Jadarrius Randle, and Kendrick Ramiz, sisters Kathy Warfield of Ruleville, MS, brothers; Timmy Townsend (Mary) of Ruleville, MS, Randy Townsend (Kim) of Cleveland, Ms, William "Bill" Crocker (Ashley) of Iowa, Talmadge Crocker (Jessica) of Horn Lake, MS., Long time companion Drefuis Randle of Cleveland, MS, grandchildren: Rylie Yarborough, Drew Morlen, Drae Morlen, Kai Morlen, Madison Johnson, Brookelynn Brown, Haleigh Brown, Dakodah Williams, and Kennedy Jackson, great-grandchild Deason Scrivner,  and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Cleveland Funeral Home. A time of reflection will follow at 11:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.
