CLEVELAND – Tammie Denise Baker Davidson, age 60, of Cleveland, MS departed this life on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 18, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robert Haney and Special Agent Brother Bruce Little will officiate the service.
Tammie was born on February 3, 1959, to John Thomas and Elsie Blount Baker in Cleveland, MS. She grew up in Shaw, MS and attended Shaw Schools. Tammie was a multi-talented lady, she spent time as a photographer, manager, jewelry designer, and massage therapist. For the past 15 years, she was the Purchasing Director for North Sunflower Hospital.
Tammie was the biggest hearted, most generous person, who never met a stranger. She had an infectious smile and a laugh that could fill a room. Tammie was an unforgettable person who was always the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren to whom she was known as “Muffin”. She was of the Baptist Faith, who gave her heart to the Lord at a young age at Shaw Baptist Church. Tammie will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elsie Baker.
She is survived by her husband Max J. “Joe” Davidson, Jr. of Cleveland, MS, sons, John Zachary Baker, of Cleveland, MS, and Max J. Davidson, III (Jenifer) of Cleveland, MS, 2 grandchildren, Frazier and Cooper Davidson of Cleveland, MS, 4 sisters, Susan (Craig) Strain of Cleveland, MS, Wanda (Rick) Hendrix of Jonesboro, AR, Kitty (KG) Sims of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Mandy (Phil) Norsworthy of Jackson, TN. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
