SHELBY - Tillman Harrell, Jr. age 68, of Shelby, MS passed away on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at the Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.
Visitation will be held Friday October 23, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Shelby Cemetery. Reverend Joe Young will officiate the services.
Tillman was born on May 16, 1947 to Tillman and Velma Louise (Gilbert) Harrell in Duncan, MS. He attended Duncan Schools and was a life long resident of Bolivar County. Tillman worked for several area farms until his employment as a mechanic at Douglas and Lomanson in Cleveland. Tillman was of the Pentecostal Faith. He enjoyed going to auctions and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tillman and Velma Harrell, brother, Charles Ray Harrell and a sister, Louise Gilbert Vance.
He is survived by Brother, James and wife Mary Alice Harrell of Southaven, MS. Sister, Shirley Thompson of Rome, MS. Niece, Cathy and husband Michael Joe Ray of Duncan, MS. He also leaves a host of other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Charles Ray, Allen Ray, David Brown, Jackie Brown, Chris Ethridge and Jamie Charles Ray.
