Cleveland--Timothy Wayne Harper, age 46, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 10th at 10:00 AM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland, MS. There will be an interment at Arbor Adams Cemetery following the service. Bro. Chris Gentry will officiate the services.
Tim was born on November 16, 1972to William and Hazel (Arbuckle) Harper in Mound Bayou, MS. He attended Cleveland Schools. Tim worked at A&A Muffler, Texaco Express Lube & Castrol Lube Express before moving to New Albany, MS. He worked for Standex Refrigeration as an electrical manufacturer. Tim was a member of Pace Pentecostal Church. His greatest love was his children and grandchildren. Tim loved music, fishing and working on cars. Tim also loved cooking on the grill and wood burning. He loved feeding the grandkids chocolate. His favorite expression was "What are you doing son?". Tim always had a smile on his face and he was the best father and grandfather.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Hazel Harper as well as his brother, Scottie Harper.
Tim is survived by Daughter, Samantha Harper (Marty Gant) of Brandon, MS; Daughter, Hannah Harper of Florence, MS; Sister, Phyllis (Chris) Sanders of Cleveland, MS; Brother, Johnnie (Crystal) Harper of Boyle, MS; Brother, Jerry Harper of Vance, MS; Brother, Bobbie Harper of Boyle, MS; Grandchildren, Lily Harper, Marty Gant, Jr., Dillon Richardson, Jr. and Jonathan Eli Richardson. Tim also leaves his Godsisters and Godbrother, Lillie Contreras of Benoit, MS, Brenda Canady of Shelby, MS Patricia Walker of Merigold, MS Judy Kent of Tulsa, Oklahoma Lonnie Davenport of Greenville, MS.
Pallbearers will be his nephews; Chris Sanders, Jr., Cody Sanders, Justin Harper, Joshua Harper, David Harper, and Adam Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Gant and Chris Sanders, Sr.
